Thomas Austerveil
Founder & Green Architecture Specialist
Thomas Austerveil founded AAD in 2007 after working for many years on large scale projects for architects Norman Foster and Paul Andreu. He has worked in close association for many years with SORANE SA (Switzerland) specializing in the reduction of energy consumption in buildings. He studied architecture at Cornell University in the United States, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, and is LEED certified. He is based in Cambodia since 2020.
Anna-Maria Austerveil
Head of Architecture
Anna-Maria Austerveil joined AAD in 2008 and has spent the last 12 years working in China, after after having worked many years in London, UK, and in Lausanne, Switzerland. Anna-Maria studied architecture at the University of East London, and Oxford Brooks University in the UK.
Michael Pieszko
Country Manager
With over 19 years of experience in business development, Michael is a results-driven manager with a global outlook. Prior to joining AAD Australia, he spent 16 years as a director at Auslambkin Australia, a company specialising in the sheepskin industry and the export of Australian goods. After his time at Auslambkin Australia, he was headhunted by a Southeast Asian technology company, where he played a key role in raising capital and expanding into international markets. His expertise in international relations has been instrumental in broadening market reach and fostering strong partnerships.
Zhang Sheng Tai
Head Of Engineer
Zhang Sheng Tai, a graduate of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with a degree in Aerospace Engineering (2012), combines technical proficiency with a wealth of diverse industry experience. Following five years of service with Singapore Airlines, he made a successful transition into the real estate sector, where he excelled as a Property Sales Manager in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Zhang has also contributed to One Park, a renowned, award-winning Singaporean developer, further cementing his reputation in the industry. With an extensive network of interior designers and material suppliers, he possesses valuable insights into property trends, development, and the sourcing of high-quality materials. His strong engineering foundation, paired with a deep passion for real estate, has established him as a trusted advisor, consistently delivering bespoke solutions and outstanding results for both clients and investors.
